These are skills that are necessary for the manager to be able to develop the techniques they need to reach to objectives of the company, for example, skills in operating certain types of equipment. They may not be physically doing this as management, but they may be overseeing employees that will do. Which means that management may have to be knowledgeable about this.

Managers have to have the skills to be able to create new ideas that may aid in production or deal with a problem.
Many of the skills that are needed for management can be learned, but there are some that need to be developed like people skills. Managers have to be ableto interact with employees in different ways, such as verbally and written. They have to be able to bring out the best in their employees. Each of these skills is critical for good management. If a manager is weak in one area, it can affect the others. However, if they are identified in the early stages of a manager taking over, then it can be corrected quickly.
